1969_08_02 2926DK

Yelloway Motor Services of Rochdale wasted no time in taking advantage of the authorisation of 36ft. long single deckers, placing seven Harrington Cavalier 36 C45F bodied AEC Reliances into service in Spring 1962. Thereafter 45 seat Harrington bodied AEC Reliances became the firm's standard coach until Harrington ceased trading in 1966. After that, Plaxton was the usual bodybuilder of choice.

2926DK was one of four of AEC's 2U3RA model with AH590 engine in that first batch; the other three were AH470 engined 4MU3RAs. It was photographed in St.Margaret's Coach Station at Cheltenham in August 1969, providing one of Yelloway's express services in the Associated Motorways network.
