Rooftop Living

Tangier, Morocco
When a stranger asked my friends and I if we would like to see the view from his rooftop on our first day exploring in a new city, we were hesitant to accept. But, after seemingly endless flights of stairs, we reached the sunny rooftop where the entire bay of Tangier was visible. As our new friend poured us each a cup of mint tea, I remembered that Tangier is a city built on unlikely friendships between diverse people. By welcoming us foreigners into his home, our host was continuing that tradition.
