Generator In Transit

This must be a typical sight in and around Lagos and maybe the rest of Nigeria. During my visit, I noticed that power is generated locally (very locally - outside commercial buildings).

 

My driver told me that the newer generators (like this one) are much more effecient and quieter. At the office where I was working the generator outside was extremely noisy and could always be heard in the background.
