Competitive LOAD 514 day 18 OPEN Wide to how competitive I can be
Open wide and dentist theme did not do it for me, so I did open wide my mind to how competitive I have become with running. I decided to do a page like Everything Orange did yesterday, which looks like this, image above a column of text off set. Here page is far more start and powerful, as is her journaling. Thankfully I am not feeling so stark as she.
Here is my journaling "As I open wide my thoughts on running in particular to racing around here in my community with runners I know, I am finding that I want to beat them and be in first place or get a medal. I ran/walked 5K this morning alternating between for the count of 10: run, then walk. I did this for the first mile. Then I just walked after mile 1 to mile 2. It was a bit depressing to see walkers catching up and passing me. At mile 2, I started to run/walk again. I don't think I passed anyone. I also got a cramp while doing this. I could still talk, though. Mike had Banjo and took a shortcut. He said he walked under the finish so we would not have had a public discussion on his shortcut. He was right that I would have been rankled, but at the same time I thought he had taken a shortcut. I told him that I would give him the e-mail if he wants to tell the race officials, he didn't do the complete 5K and left it at that. Pam , a friend of mine who is pictured in the pink, won. Emily did not race because she did not feel well and did not know I pre payed.Mike did not want to stay until the bitter end. I would have loved to go on some adventure afterward, but Mike did not. "
