Morning Swim

I just returned from a three day adventure in Sierra Valley. I wanted to target this species again since I didn't get great lighting last year with them. I drove around that morning and found several close to this steep embankment. The incline was a good 45 degree to the water. There was about a two foot wide window where there was no grass in the way for a clear shot. I also had a wood post to the left that also added to the difficulty. The other challenge was trying not to slide in the water. I slithered down the side and dunked my elbows in leveling my view with the water. I counted seven Wilson's Phalarope in this area. I got lots of nice close ups this time around. I was so happy with the shots this season.
