With ORR's Prohibition Notice lifted, the WCRC mainline steam programme recommenced in early April, in time for the first WCRC promoted 'Spirit of the Lakes' railtour to run from Skegness to Stratford on Avon on 9th April 2016. Ex LMS Jubilee 4-6-0 45699 'Galatea' hauled the railtour from Skegness to Saltley and is seen here passing Burton on Trent.
The Saltley - Stratford and return Stratford - Skegness legs of the railtour were diesel hauled by Class 47 47580 County of Essex.
