4965 NEWARK

THE WIND BLOWS BOTH WAYS: An optical illusion apparently shows the wind blowing both ways at once. A westerly breeze blows the steam from the sugar factory chimney eastwards whilst the slipstream of ex GWR Hall 4-6-0 4965 'Rood Ashton Hall' travelling due east at 40mph seemingly 'blows' the locomotive's exhaust due west. 4965 crosses the River Trent at Newark with VTL's Tyseley - Lincoln 'Lindum Christmas Fayre' railtour on 6/12/2014
