The ELR Winter Gala's new 'Freight Train Experience' offered customers the chance, on payment of a supplementary charge,to sample the delights of travelling in one of two goods brakevans included in the consist of the timetabled freight train, which ran three return trips between Bury and Ramsbottom each day.
