LNER B1 4-6-0 61306 'Mayflower' resplendent in Apple Green livery forges past Thomason Foss near Beck Hole with the 11:35 Grosmont - Pickering during the NYMR 40th Anniversary Gala 5/5/2013. Gala goers were fortunate to witness steam haulage throughout the event as the fire risk in the area was high. Locomotive crews had to put out a fire just to the left of this view on 16th April, whilst on the 21st April firecrews had to attend a large fire at the remote spot of Carter's House in Northdale.
