delta 6 Bay of Pigs kit

During another uncucessfull asassination attempt on Fidel Castro, dictator of Cuba during april of 1961, the CIA asked the leader of Delta Squad to assist the invasion by acting as the preemptive strike force to capture Castro. The team parachuted into a village just outside of Havana and moved towards Castro's compound. As day broke the team was set up on a cliffside overlooking the compound. Delta 1, 2, and 9 were to remain on the clif to provide a vantage point along with sniper support while the rest of the team were sent in to secure the dictator. The infiltration team met heavy rsistance as they fought their way into the compound. Upon entering, they soon realized that Castro had fled to a safe house north of Guantanamo Bay. The team fought their way to an airfield and escaped by airlift.

 

Delta 6 had used his specialized kit for the mission:

1 custom gold plated .44 magnum Desert Eagle sidearm

1 m11 7.62mm light machine gun (Only one in existence)

1 S.O.G. combat dagger

2 m2 frag grenades

2 smoke flares, red

1 rapelling rope

4 250 round drum magazines
