Beinn Laoigh
Driving to Dalmally recently (for a photo-less escapade on Cruachan), I hit that point in the road, south of Tyndrum, where Laoigh's towering, tent-like, twin summits emerge from behind some great featureless flank (Beinn Oss). It was particularly thrilling on this occasion, snow-plastered & wreathed in vaporous mists. I almost shelved my Cruachan plan there & then in order to take my chances on that walk up the Cononish glen. I didn't - & a damp squib of an affair was my reward further west.
Perhaps, if there's any truth in the 'many worlds' theory of quantum physics, there's an alternate universe where an alternate me had a whale of a time on an alternate Beinn Laoigh. :)
