Iolair-Bhara
The Glen Etive Hills
. . . as seen from the nearby summit of Stob Coir' an Albannaich.
This was taken after a colossal tramp from Victoria Bridge under a ceiling of twinkling stars.
I set off from the car at 5am & arrived here just as the morning sun popped up away to the south-east, roughly four hours later.
During the day's proceedings it occurred to me that it was almost a full three decades earlier (Easter 1994) that I'd last found myself perched on this peak.
I remember a largely dreary, grey affair back then - this more recent outing providing far more in the way of dazzling views in all directions.
