Iolair-Bhara
Stob Ghabhar
. . . flanked by guardians, Stob a Choire Odhair & Sròn nan Giubhas.
This was a kind of consolation shot stemming from an all-too-typical 'shooting myself in the foot' incident earlier yesterday morning. I'll spare the incriminating details, suffice to say that some shocking absent-mindedness on my part led to a frantic search for valuable equipment on the flank of a prominent hill near Glen Coe. The penalty for eventually (miraculously) retrieving said gear was feeling like I'd been pulled through a hedge backwards . . . twice.
Anyway, later on I wandered along the verge of the A82 at Lochan na h-Achlaise, looking out for something vaguely original that didn't utilise the the lochan itself as a foreground (à la several thousand calendar shots over the years!). The light & conditions were quite glorious, mocking my unforgivable ineptitude & squandering the opportunity of having that light at my disposal from a high ridge.
