Binnein Mòr & the Eastern Mamores
What an utterly fabulous Christmas Eve: to spend the crispest of winter days atop Ben Nevis just leisurely wandering around, taking the odd photo & losing all track of time.
I've a natural tendency to reject outright any composition that may diminish a given mountain's scale or prominence. I've relented, here, surmising that the interest may outweigh such matters once in a while.
Having the highest platform in the land naturally changes landscape photography into aerial landscape photography: as if viewed from an aircraft.
Binnein Mòr is actually the 28th highest summit in Scotland at 1130 metres*, but readily appears as a mere foothill when viewed from a neighbouring peak that is more than 200 metres higher!
* according to Munro's Tables.
