Dancing Moon . . .

. . . over distant Ladhar Bheinn & Aonach Meadhoin.

And a VERY distant Rùm Cuillin pleasingly visible along the horizon.

This was an attempt to try to incorporate an unanticipated, near-full moon into a landscape photograph. With the light changing rapidly, & without the ability to move any meaningful distance, I was basically left with what lay in front of me. Finding the most appropriate focal length & a balanced composition, I'm very pleased with the outcome. Having a dose of good fortune isn't lost on me either.

I'm hoping there'll be a few of you out there who'll recognize just how fleetingly exquisite the ethereal world of mountain country can be at dawn. In the context of everyday human existence, surely life is elevated (in more ways than one) to something a little more worthwhile. A genuine sense of reverence & humbleness tends to overcome the onlooker; & these are traits that the human race is losing at an alarming rate. I'm just glad that I, unlike the majority, have seen & absorbed these places, & to have allowed their majesty to have had its positive & enlightening effect. I'm speaking as someone who is completely alienated by the modern, supposedly civilized, world.
