Loch Tulla

Having been blown off Stob Ghabhar earlier in the day, my thoughts turned to loitering around the nearby shores of Loch Tulla for the remainder of the afternoon.

You may have noticed the thin skin of ice ranging across the water. The small amount of heat radiating from the low winter sun was doing its damnedest to melt it. Every minute or two a loud, rifle-esque crack would startle me as I paced up & down the water's edge. Ice cracking nearby would invariably set off similar loud bangs from elsewhere around the loch.
