The Torridon Hills - from Sgurr Mhic Bharraich, West Highlands, Scotland 09-01-16

The dawn light on the fabulously clear Torridons had me fumbling about for my telephoto lens with barely useable numbed fingers.

It's a testimony to the enduring appeal of the Highlands that I'm still unfailingly motivated to capture such scenes despite the unavoidable pain & discomfort that a Winter's dawn at elevation can inflict on my poor extremities!

The very striking snowy pyramid near the middle belongs to Liathach & is called Spidean a' Choire Leith.
