New York Central State Line Marker

Views through the decades of the state line marker at the Indiana-Ohio border on the former NYC water level route between Butler, Indiana and Edgerton, Ohio. The first photo has my dad, hamming it up for the camera, taken May of 1954. The second photo, taken 4/13/88, is of an eastbound Conrail bare-table train behind seven Conrail units. The third photo, taken 3/8/15, is of Norfolk Southern train #190 heading east towards Toledo. The NS has since installed signals here at State Line road. I found it interesting that over the years there has been some damage to the marker but someone has seen fit to repair it.
