Illinois Central Depot, Maroa, Illinois

Before and after views of the Illinois Central depot at Maroa, Illinois. The upper view was taken 5/23/81, so this was under the ICG flag at the time. View is looking north along the charter line towards Bloomington-Normal. The signal in the distance was the home signal at the switch where the former Pennsy secondary split off and went northwest to Peoria. The Pennsy eventually went to the Illinois Terminal and at the time of this photo was owned by the Norfolk Southern. The ICG at the time saw only sporadic traffic. Lower photo was taken 4/19/14. The right-of-way has been completely obliterated here in town, with several structures now built on top of the old r.o.w.
