Hoi An Ancient Town, Vietnam (UNESCO world heritage site)

Hoi An Ancient Town is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a South-East Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. Its buildings and its street plan reflect the influences, both indigenous and foreign, that have combined to produce this unique heritage site.

It is located in Quảng Nam Province and is home to approximately 120,000 inhabitants. It is recognized as aWorld Heritage Site by UNESCO. Hội An là một thành phố trực thuộc tỉnh, được thành lập ngày 29 tháng 1 năm 2008 theo Nghị định số 10/2008/NĐ-CP của Chính phủ Cộng hòa Xã hội chủ nghĩa Việt Nam. Hội An hiện nay đã được công nhận là đô thị loại III, trực thuộc tỉnh Quảng Nam.
