Britannia 4-6-2 70011 Hotspur at Crewe August 1966

70011 Hotspur at Crewe South mpd. The name has been painted on the smoke deflector in place of the missing nameplate - probably by a steam enthusiast. This was a fairly common sight towards the end of steam on British Railways. At least the smokebox numberplate appears intact - they also disappeared towards the end of steam
