Self-portrait

(February 15th, 2019)

Fort Myers, Florida, U.S.A

From Englewood I traveled to Fort Myers. That day I should have been sunbathing on Sanibel Island. However, the Englewood beach had such incredible shelling that I changed my mind, and went there instead for a couple of hours. Oh yes, the seashells were huge, and I had fun collecting them, but the sunshine was strong as well. Sadly, I realized it only upon arrival to my next destination- Fort Meyers. My skin had definitely enough of sun exposure...

The place where I stayed in Fort Meyers was a paradise for any artist. I really wanted to shoot there, but life kept me busy. I just took a few pictures that evening around my 'tiny house, dining car', and had to get ready for the next day: trip to Cayo Costa Island.

About the project:

I wish to look at myself in all reflected streets and places I will be passing by. These self-portraits are inspired by Vivian Maier's self-portraiture: www.vivianmaier.com
