Help I need advice on what to feed this little kitten!!!

Flickr friends I need your help!

I found this little thing in the middle of a wet field, screaming it's little heart out. Naturally I had to stop my vehicle and investigate. I found it in a hole and this little face looking up at me.

 

I looked around the field and did not see or hear any other kittens or mother cat, but did see a hawk flying in the area.

 

I may have made a mistake but I took it and brought it home (too late now, it was a 3 hour drive). He/she may only be 4+? weeks old.

 

I need help with how to feed it. This little one is too young to determine sex, it did drink a little bit of milk (the only thing that I had) around 7 hours ago. I tried to get it to eat mashed/warm canned cat food - no...

 

more warm milk, no...

 

It wants to snuggle and purr, but it needs nutrition and until I can talk to a vet in the morning.

 

National holiday nothing open!

 

 

This was a birding trip not a kitty finding trip...
