2020 153-366 Fill the Frame

Filling the Frame for Macro mondays with a flower from our wonderful Alexander Rose.

This rose survives with little attention (read: none). It blooms at all sorts of times on the year, and has featured as my POTD many times.

For those who don't know, it was given to us by a close friend when our son was christened. He is now 30. It has moved house with us, and is placed outside his bedroom (now our "spare room") window.

Each flower is about 4.5" in diameter, and this is a small section of one quarter of the bloom. Photographed with my Lensbaby Velvet 56 close to the nearest focussing point. The Velvet gives a lovely soft feel, this is at about f4, so not totally glowing.
