2020 105-366 Downland Lines

Having not been out on our bikes for 12 days, we decided to brave the South Downs again. Heading on tracks further from the car parks (which shouldn't be being used, but are), and only met a couple of walkers, although there were a few other bikes around.

I call this track the Rollercoaster. It runs from Canada Barn near North Stoke (the Canadians were camping here in 1944 prior to D Day) to Wepham Down. You can see the way we should have come stretching to the trees in the distance. Sadly, we made the same mistake that we did several years ago on the same ride, and ended up down on Peppering Lane. An extra climb later, we were back on track behind the first hill Dave has just come up.

It was a beautiful sunny day, but there was a biting North-easterly wind on the climbs!

I hope you will agree with me that these are Leading Lines, implied perhaps, but still leading you over the rises...
