2019 308-365 RNLI in Rough Seas
Brand and Logos for Macro Mondays.
I can't think of a better logo to see if you're in danger on the seas around the UK coastline. As an ex-sea kayaker, the RNLI are very close to my heart.
A 1" pin badge, one of a collection of 10 from Alex's 10 years as a member of Storm Force, the children's supporters group of the RNLI. Photographed on a silk scarf for the huge waves...
I am following a fantastic photographic project.
Jack Lowe is over halfway through his 8 year mission of photographing all the RNLI lifeboat stations around the UK using the wet-plate collodion technique.
I'm sure some of you have heard of this, but if you haven't, or are just following him, please consider becoming a Patron. The starter amount is around £3 per month. I feel it is worth the price of one coffee a month to keep Neena, his ambulance converted into a darkroom, on the road.
His images are beautiful, and the regular Patron blogs and podcasts often take you to places where the volunteers have been in difficult circumstances.
