On a Frozen River
A Bald Eagle feasts on a fish carcass. A friend of mine and I were driving along frozen Otonabee river, looking for a Tim Hortons for a cup of coffee and warm ourselves up when we noticed a pair of eagles on the river. This male was patiently waiting on a tree while the female ate the fish. Once the female left, this male came down to eat and provided some excellent opportunity to observe and photograph. Needless to say that coffee was forgotten.
