The adult male Peregrine Falcon (top) is transferring prey to a juvenile (bottom) while in flight. I saw the adult catching a Starling in high speed pursuit; however, I wasn't fast enough to capture the incident. Almost immediately the juvenile flew in chirping and aligned himself for the transfer. Occasionally the adult male would drop the prey and the juvenile would catch it in mid air; however, in this case the transfer was from talon to talon. Burlington, Ontario.
