The Predator and the Prey

In this case the predator is a newly fledged female Peregrine Falcon (on the left) who hasn't yet learnt how to hunt. And I think the pigeon was well aware of it as it stayed on the same beam of the hydro tower and not too far from the Peregrine, but far enough not to fit in one frame. I had to merge two frames together to create this composite. The Peregrine sat there watching the pigeons come and go. When it first landed on the beam with the pigeons close by, the Peregrine did walk towards the pigeons but soon realized that she wasn't yet ready for them and decided to sit by the corner and enjoy watching them instead.
