Close Encounter of a Different Kind
I was surprised to see this lone Coyote in the middle of Downsview Park, hunting for voles. This is the second time I saw this magnificent animal at the park - the first was in January of this year. However, there's a worrying trend - this time it came quite close and didn't seem too concerned with human presence. However, he eventually retreated to a slope on a nearby hill and sat down for the evening. The park gets a lot of irresponsible dog owners with their leash free dogs. I hope the Coyote keeps its distance for its own good. What a privilege it was to see this a Coyote roaming freely in the park. Downsview Park, Toronto.
