A Male Wood Duck was flying up to a wall to perch. It's a very gloomy day outside today, the virbant color of this wood duck will brighten up anybody's mood. They are probably rivaled only by a Mandarin Duck; since we don't get them here in Canada, Wood Duck will certainly be a top contender for most handsome duck in Canada. Up until a few years ago I didn't know that Wood Ducks nest in wood cavities and they are as comfortable sitting high on a tree as they are in water. High Park, Toronto.
