So declares the Barnacle Goose, an accidental visitor and rare bird for this part of the world. The debate is still on-going about whether it is an escapee or a wild vagrant who ended up here due to recent inclement weather in the east coast. The December issue of Ontario Birds, a journal of Ontario Field Ornithologists has an article by Mike Burrell where he gave very good reasoning of accepting these kind of vagrants as legitimate wild bird.
