Cliffsides

After eyeing up another cliffside along I40 between Albuquerque and Gallup that peaked or interest, we pulled off the interstate at the nearest exit and didn’t wait long before this westbound manifest came along and filled up the shot nicely. Shortly after snapping this picture, we were screamed at and threatened for several minutes by a very, very angry Indian for driving way too fast (20 mph at most) through what he believed to be “his” town to find a place to shoot from. We calmly got back in the car, left at a crawl and drove many more miles before stopping again. Looking back I think it was well worth it, and every photograph is better with a good back story.
