Partha Chowdhury
PARTHA CHOWDHURY grew up in the small towns and big cities of eastern India. His life has meandered through Calcutta, New York, Chicago, Bangalore, Copenhagen, New Haven, and Boston. He is professor of physics at UMass Lowell, mixing rhyme with reason, and art with science, when he can. He is a poet and performer comfortable in both Bangla and English, at home and a long way from home at the same time, with a repertoire that celebrates both what is different and what is common between the cultures.
