Nosferatu Toes

29. Australasian Swamphen (46cm) Feeds in reeds and grasslands. Con- stantly flicks tail. Red forehead shield and bill. Very shy, they have extra long toe/talons that remind me a lot of the vampire Nosferatu's or even the Alien Xenomorph fingers. Beautiful colours on this bird and they won't hurt you.
