Ranier
A refreshed and rebuilt SD70 crosses the Rainy River into Ranier, Minnesota at the top of the CN Rainy Subdivision. Ranier is one of my favorite Minnesota railroad communities, easily! This unit ended up being the one-and-only on this train. Looking at the note for this locomotive on The Diesel Shop, this was CN 5796 (SD70I) and not categorized as an SD70IACC. A sliver of Rainy Lake is visible a the end of the street.
