Long-time resident and EMD DD40X, UP 6925, continues to hold down the stub track near the elevator in Chamberlain, South Dakota among the really scenic Missouri River Valley landscape. I was pleased to get a photo of one of these beasts not in a museum or preserved state-of-being. I heard of the time when this was brought to Chamberlain from Mitchell at a walking pace. Fascinating stuff!
