Detroit Lakes Drifter

Canadian Pacific sent a plow train from Thief River Falls to Glenwood down the Detroit Lakes Subdivision to clear up the snow drifts and clear up the right-of-way. After many rounds of snow and wind, some clear-up jobs were definitely called for.

Here the plow job is seen clearing snow at Callaway, Minnesota after clearings the Detroit Lakes Subdivision's first 80 miles south of Thief River Falls. The drifts start getting larger with the more varying landscape.

Nice to see the March 1944-built plow work out on the old Soo Line mainline to Winnipeg.
