TTV Series: 2009 Xmas

This is our Xmas tree this year. Looks 100 times more evil here with this treatment than in color. My grandfather (on my mother's side) died this past year, and he was a real deer hunting enthusiast. I inherited all his antlers... so the logical thing to do was use a nice set as our topper to our Xmas tree! -in honor of Elrid Spinas 1923-2009.

This image was taken using a Canon 30D-SLR with a Canon 100mm macro lens, pointed through a 1950's Kodak Duaflex twin-lens camera's viewfinder. Some call this technique "TTV" or Through-The-Viewfinder photography. I then adjust curves and turn the image into a duotone in Photoshop. All the "funk" and unfocused area comes from shooting through the old funky plastic lenses of the vintage camera.
