Spiraling Up.

Apologies for my recent absence, not been too great of late but I'm back now and spiralling up rather than down! : )

Here's one of the Tulip Staircase within the Queens House in Greenwich, London a few weeks back. A place I've wanted to shoot for a couple of years now, the house is stunning architecturally and steeped in history.

Particularly impressive both in beauty and structurally is the original main 'Tulip' Staircase- Britains first self-supporting geometric staircase. I shot standard straight on shots of the spiral then saw this comp with the window and liked the comp and shapes, almost has a gothic. mythical feel to it combined with a fairly moody mono. The moody edit kinda reflected my headspace at the time- Looking from within through the window at the light outside and knowing you have to keep on moving on up the spiralling journey to the lighter times, onwards and upwards.

Nuff love all : )
