Pathfinder wanted to extend their website to staff and vendors via a secure portal. The challenge was how to organize the numerous documents, files and links in an easy to use manner without sacrificing security. The solution was the addition of the CMXtras DocumentBrowser, a file system explorer which utilizes the Kentico CMS document tree and role based security model.
The DocumentBrowser was built using Adobe Flex and is rendered in Adobe Flash. Users can re-size and sort by columns as well as drag and drop columns. Supports 11 different folder color options as well as links to files and websites, all managed in Kentico CMS. Now Pathfinder is able to create colored folders, share important documents, links and files without having to work in a separate tool apart from their CMS.
