Stranger 35/100 | Adam

I met Adam in Washington Square park on a beautiful fall afternoon. The park was absolutely packed. I caught Adam while they were leaving and he seemed pretty flattered to be included in my strangers project.

Adam works at a non-profit for homeless teens. He was in the park for a meeting with a colleague. It turns out that Adam is pretty big time within the world of non-profits. I caught this expression while his colleague was singing his praises. I wish I would have asked Adam more about his non-profit. It's always hard for me to have a conversation with people and also throw out some direction that will yield some genuine expressions. I'll figure it out before I hit 100!

By the way, so far Adam has been the only stranger to ask me why I decided to start taking pictures of strangers.

Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at the 100 Strangers Flickr Group page.

I tried to use the sun as a backlight in this one and overall I think it works. I am still getting acquinted with the 24-70. I want to shoot super sharp pics, but I need to grow a pair and start shooting wide open.
