Mark Liverio an ABE/GED/VPI instructior at the Brewster HITEC campus.

 

Current Stats:

 

•100% pass rate for GED students

 

•LCP/OCP nearly double last year’s (up 90% from 47%)

 

•2007-2008 HTCAA Outstanding Rookie Teacher of the Year

 

•volunteer ESOL teacher

 

•family literacy grant request co-writer - over $50,000 in awarded funds

 

•volunteer family literacy and ESOL fundraising events

 

•volunteer women’s self-defense instructor for employees of Hillsborough County Public Schools

 

 

Philosophy:

 

Mark endlessly tells his students to set goals and only make decisions that takes them closer to their dreams. To highlight this, Mark continues to pursue his own dreams. So far, it seems to be working.

Mark was recently admitted into Saint Leo University. Pursuing a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Critical Incident Management and a focus in Terrorism.

 

Mark Liverio is a veteran of US Naval Intelligence (Persian Gulf War).

 

He's a Tampa-native, educated kindergarten through B.A. in Tampa.

 

He's the co-author of the Mil-Tech (military fiction) novel Unseen Terror, which he published under the pseudonym Brian Lee, along with Captain Ben Liner, USN (Ret).

 

He's in Who's Who Poetry International - whatever that means - for his poem Antonia.

 

He is the 2007-2008 HTCAA Outstanding Rookie Teacher of the Year and the 2010-2011 Brewster Technical Center Teacher of the Year.
