Спецназ--Full Surpat Spetsnaz Fig
Whoa.
Its been a long time since I discovered my supersecret technique that allows me to make digital camo, but I've finally done a full minifig in it. Holy shit. I've learned the technique through and through now, I think. I managed to get some tiny squares and to form shapes just like the real pattern.
Now, that being said, R.Goff guessed the technique (which I've never seen anyone else use) back in June, and he has kindly held off from using it. Now that I've basically uploaded my digital camo masterpiece, I think...I think it's time for me to share my technique with the world. Soooo many more uses than digital camo. I'll have a tutorial up within the next couple days : )
But if you're creative-minded and up for a challenge, try to guess yourself! Here are some things about what I do to make perfect squares and corners:
No tape or any external stencil involved
No spray paint, the camo is regular Model Master Acryl paint
Not decals
NOT SPONGES BLARG
It'll probably give me carpel tunnel or something at a young age
Yeah. anyway if you can't tell, its just one fig repositioned and all and just edited together. The tac vest is my first successful one-piece resin casted vest and I'm pretty happy with it, its really strong and I added some nice detail. Oh and those AK pouches were tough.
Check out the other photo if you want to see the arm patch, its pretty cool from the right angle.
Oh and I'm a little disappointed theres not actually a "Спецназ" (Spetsnaz in actual russian) anywhere on this fig. I'll fix that with the flora fig coming up.
This took a ton of effort over the last 3 months or so. There's at least 9 hours total in the camo. Please tell me what I can do better with the fig, and please enjoy!!
