Detroitika - Tanner Jon A.
US Navy Seal
A USN SEAL operating in a village in Uruzgan Province, Afghanistan, under ISAF's Special Operations Joint Taskforce in 2013.
This has been in the works a long time, and I greatly thank everyone who helped me out in the many annoying snakeskin camo pictures. Without all of your opinions and support, I would have done something that would have been...not this, and not as good. (I will post a followup picture in a few days, showing my attempts at methods you guys suggested.)
Some fun stuff! The vest used to be a Combatbrick plain plate carrier, and the helmet used to be a Combatbrick Modern Warfare helmet. Having TT fit and glue the headset mic was completely worth it. Steve's handiwork is as precise and excellent as his moldwork. Also, I chose not to include the pistol on his SEAL patch, since it would clog up the logo I had already painted.
Sorry to exhaust you, and most readers, you'll want to stop now. This is everything.
He wears:
Merrel Sawtooth boots
Pants with pockets like Crye G3 combat pants and padless knees the HPFU pants in AOR2
TMC belt in AOR1
Mechanix M-Pact gloves
Crye G3 Combat Shirt in AOR2
LBT 6094 plate carrier in AOR1
Rothco Medium Transport Pack in AOR1 (not visible in photo)
Condor Kangaroo AR15&pistol pouches in AOR1
Emerson MP7 Pouchesin AOR1
MSA Sordin Headset (by Tiny Tactical)
Lancer Tactical FAST helmet
and carries a Mk18 in, at last, snakeskin camouflage.
Thank you so much, and really, thank you guys--many of you!--for your help with the snakeskin. Have a great day!
