Patience Pays Off

So you have just witnessed a blazing gloriously golden sunset. The sun has set now. The beach which was deserted anyways suddenly looks even more godforsaken as you scan the surroundings for some comforting human presence. The first reaction is to pack your camera bag & leave.

 

Stay put.

 

The best is yet to come. The sol seemingly dives into the infinite sea. The aurum glow slowly diminishes. You are happy that you canned it on your memory card for posterity. Your self-preservation trait nudges you, that you've had enough & the long road back ain't a very safe drive in the pitch dark.

 

Stand Your Ground. Do not retreat.

 

And as the sol dips six degrees below the horizon, the real magic show starts. The Civil Twilight kicks in now. This is the time when the soft pastel hues of crimson, pinks & purples illuminate the sky. The calm post the storm is what you as a photographer was waiting for. It'll last but for a few minutes & that is when you have both; your shot & that ear to ear smile!
