The Dazzle of Alto-Cumulus Clouds
If you see these kinds of small puffy clouds hovering in the mid altitudes of the sky either in the pre-dawn or afternoon phase, take your camera & make a beeline to the nearest water body or an interesting location. I guarantee you a brilliant sunrise or sunset. A physicist would be able to better explain the interactions of light with these Altocumulus clouds (even Cirrus clouds, I might add) & a water or snow body beneath but the light traveling a longer distance at the golden hour, somehow breaks the yellow, oranges, saffron & reds into their most intense hues to dazzle the human eye.
Our cameras frankly do not do justice when the heavens display these types of most brilliant spectacular sunrises or sunset & hence I'd recommend bracketing your exposures & blend them in post-processing.
Of course, a wide opened grin & not a bat of an eyelid captures the scenic brilliance equally well for posterity.
