The Stakhanovite Twins
Maybe these small ones aren't really supposed to hiss. Cute though.
6011 Cunard Street, Halifax.
One of a nesting pair found two months ago near the side door of Tony's Donairs. According to some of the visiting Sur L'Herbists I met at their temporary dorm, this variety had been thought all but lost, with the last reported in Rumford, Maine in the 1940s .
The present sanctuary has been fast-tracked by a most supportive city council and is at present fully conforming to all the by-laws regarding set-backs, noise suppression, etc.
