The Stakhanovite Twins
Norm's Garage
2227 Creighton Street, Halifax
"PICKREM, Norman Edward "Norm" - 48, Halifax, passed away suddenly Monday, January 24, 2005. Born October 11, 1956, in Halifax, he was a son of the late Harry and Roulfine (Hess) Pickrem.
"Norm owned and operated Norm's Garage in Halifax and had been a larger than life presence there for over a decade. Norm's two passions in life were his family and cars. He was a mainstay in the Maritime drag racing scene for many years. In addition to being an avid racer and antique car collector, he was perhaps best-known as the voice of the Cape Breton Dragway. Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting and knowing Norm knew what a genuine and kind man he was, who lived life to the fullest." - from his web obituary.
