Heart of gold
Saw this bird of prey while walking back from the Rockhopper Penguin Colony on Westpoint Island, The Falklands.
Any idea what sort of bird it is ?
My good Flickr friends have commented as follows ;
"The striated caracara on the Falklands appears to have this yellow pouch or sac according to other pics on the 'net. For example...

The "sac" appears after they have had a good meal, and slowly disappears !
